Could u Imagine That?

You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right because that is what I am. So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you must also wash one another's feet.
(John 13:13-14)

Today is the remembering day of the Last Supper of Jesus Crist with His disciples, which is happened right before one of the disciples betrayed Him. In Indonesia, we know this day as "White Thursday" - "Kamis Putih".

Christian believes that Jesus Crist is the Savior, who sent by God as the prove of God's Love to human. In the bible said that Jesus Christ live, doing many kind of God's miracle, cures many people of deathful sickness, dissipaing evil, and also he teach everyone about salvation that would came from God only through Him. By this, He has 12 main disciples and everyone who knew about Him, may call Him "Teacher".

In Jesus community at that time, "teacher" usually used by noble and respected people,who has many knowledge and also high position in the community. But Jesus as a teacher is not like that.

Jesus Christ is a teacher, and Lord, as many people and God Himself proclaimed, but eventhough He possesed a "highly" position, He, as a teacher, gives us a very good teaching. Not only said by word, or any imagery story, but He also doing what He said.

In the Last Supper, even me whose have had christian faith for a long time, still can imagine and understand what Jesus Christ have done..

By supper time, the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray him. Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was returning to God, got up from the table, removed his outer robe, and took a towel and fastened it around his waist. Then he poured some water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to dry them with the towel that was tied around his waist.
(John 13:2-5)

As the disciples, maybe they also surprised greatly, by what Jesus have done, HE WASH HIS DISCIPLES FEET!! The LORD, Son of God, Savior, and also Teacher, voluntarily doing this job which is a job for a SERVANT...

So the insight that we could get is, as Jesus said...

For I have given you an example, so that you may do as I have done to you. Truly, truly I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, and a messenger is not greater than the one who sent him. If you understand these things, how blessed you are if you put them into practice!
(John 13:15-17)

Jesus is a good examples for anyone of us, not only for Christians, Jesus teaching emphasized on love and service to others, in other word He also said...

I am giving you these commandments so that you may love one another."
(John 15:17)

With doing this, we are belong to God's family, the eternal bond of loving and caring family, in the name of Jesus Chris, the Lord and our Savior..
